The Marceline Historical Society, a trademarked 501c3 nonprofit, is made up of members of the City of Marceline, local business owners, and others from around the country who have sworn and are dedicated to preserving the history of Marceline, Missouri.
We meet regularly to discuss local history, develop plans on how to collect, preserve, and share our history.
We are always looking for volunteers to help.

- President: Ed Comber. Ed is responsible for getting five Marceline properties on the National Register of Historic Places within three years. Despite not living in Marceline, his dedication to the city’s history and its preservation is evident.

As per our Bylaws, members of the Board are not required to live within the city. They must only show a desire and dedication to preserving the city’s history.
Note: There is a group illegally using our name. The only legal Marceline Historical Society is this one, a 501c3 nonprofit with a trademark on the name and registered as a legitimate business in the State of Missouri. The other group is not legally associated with us. Thank you for your patience as we attempt to rectify the illegal actions of the other group. The only legal website for the Society is this one.
